The Multitalent

Chequille is a true multitalent. His excellent, pure Holstein origin of Caretano Z–Lavall II–Latino-Calypso I indicates the best disposition for jumping. Among others, Chequille was able to prove this during his performance tests: in the 30-day test he achieved the mark of 8.72 in jumping and an index of 129.77 in the 70-day test. He passed both tests in Neustadt/Dosse and won them both in a superior way (8.58 and an overall index of 137.37).

Chequille’s suitability for dressage is no coincidence and is anchored by his pedigree.
Carentano’s father Caretino as well as Latino, the dam’s sire of Silvano and Aljano, and also Calypso I are known to be double sires. And Chequille joins them without difficulties: with overall breeding values of 134 in dressage and 137 in jumping, he is one of the highest estimated double sires in Germany!

Chequille did not have the strongest serving numbers in the first years. Nevertheless his descendants - by now the oldest have reached the age of six years - have already earned prize money of more than 2,000 Euros. By 2009 he has 2 licensed sons from the Oldenburg breeding (Chakiro DR, Checco). Chequille is constantly providing winning foals and highly paid auction horses in Germany and in the neighbouring European countries. All of his descendants attract attention with special athletic character. Due to his high breeding value, the premium stallion of the former Breeding Association of Hesse was admitted to the jumper programme of the Hannoverian Association.

With Emma Hindle, Chequille ranked second and third in his first ever Prix St. Georg and Intermédiaire I (Flyinge/Sweden). To date he has eight placings at advanced level.
